Triathlon Swim Training

Our triathlon swim training program is geared towards triathletes who are looking to not only improve their technique, but also train in a structured environment with professional coaches and competitive collegiate swimmers.

Program Options

Technical Training Sessions

Each training session will have multiple coaches on deck to ensure individual attention and stroke corrections are provided every practice. Duration of training sessions are 1 hour each, with approximately 50% of the time focused on technique, and 50% focused on technique application and training. Week 3  will be our video taping week!

Get FAST Training Sessions

Each session is 1 hr in length, with an emphasis on pace work, increased aerobic/anaerobic capacity, and test sets. Individual pace cards with correlating heart rate zones are created for each swimmer, and are used on a weekly basis.

Tuesdays at The College of Saint Rose (7:05pm-8:05pm)-4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22

Wednesdays at The College of Saint Rose (6am-7am)-4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23

Thursdays at The College of Saint Rose (6:30pm-7:30pm)-4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17

Sundays at Albany Academy (9:05am-10:05am)-4/29, 5/6, 5/20, 6/3, 6/10

Drop In Practice Slots

Listed below are available drop in slots for our current session, per day and time. For June and July of 2018, we shall be only offering drop in slots on the days/times listed below!

Tri Video Clinics

Excel is excited to announce the addition of video clinics held at the College of Saint Rose. These 1 hour clinics shall be limited to 4 participants each, where the swimmers shall not only be video taped throughout the session via different angles, but have the opportunity to review the videos on deck with an Excel coach!
